Wells Town give leaders a good run for their money

Wells Town hosted top-of-the-table and unbeaten Easton at Beach Road and with several changes to the playing squad and the managers going for a very youthful look to the team.
Play was fairly even early on but in the 25th minute the visitors went ahead with a well-taken goal. Straight at the other end Wells had a chance to pull level only for the visiting keeper to make a one-hand save and the final shot went wide.
Wells came out to start the second half knowing they still had a hand in the final result and again the visiting keeper prevented the scores being level. The visitors added a second to the delight of their bench but that was short-lived as Jay Myhill gave the visiting keeper no chance with a low drive.
Again Wells had chances to level the scores and with the visitors being pushed back an equaliser looked likely before with only six minutes remaining and against the run of play the visitors stole the match.
Wells Town travel to Martham on Saturday (kick-off 2pm).

With a massive drop in player numbers for the club, Wells Town have brought in former Scarning FC manager Chris Sait to run the Reserves side. Chris brings a good knowledge of the game, having lifted the Primary Cup at Scarning.
