Wells Town had a day to forget on Saturday when they were thrashed 5-0 at Beach Road.
The Seasiders hosted promotion-chasing Yelverton and found themselves 2-0 after just 10 minutes.
After trying to play football in dangerous areas they were 4-0 down the break.
A far better second half could have seen a mini revival but uprights and crossbars prevented any consolation and a late goal for the visitors made the final score 5-0.
Saturday will see the team’s final match away at Hempnall (2.30pm) with Wells set to finish either sixth, seventh or eighth in Division Two of the Anglian Combination after being in the promotion hunt for much of the season.
