FAKENHAM TOWN U16 produced a clinical performance to overcome Lakeford 4-1 to win the League Cup at Cromer. Fakenhamtook an early lead when Jake Betts slotted home. Lakeford scored an equaliser, but Fakenham gathered themselves and produced probably their best 10 minutes this season. Toby Harris finished well to give them the lead and minutes later Dan Savory reacted the quickest to tap home after Toby Harris had hit the bar. Tom Shoenmakers produced a superb finish to put Fakenham ahead 4-1 at half-time.

Second half the Fakenham defence put in a fantastic performance. Substitute Ryan Elton hit the bar and they thought they had scored late on, but the free-kick from Harry Felton was ruled out because the ball was adjudged to be moving when kicked. The way Fakenham controlled the game in the second half showed how much they have matured as a team.
