Fakenham Gymnastics Club held their annual recreational gymnastics display at Fakenham Sports and Fitness Centre in Trap Lane, which is run by DC Leisure on behalf of North Norfolk District Council.
The event saw 35 gymnasts between five and 15 years and 10 pre-school gymnasts as young as two display their skills which were much improved over the year.
The display included a well-presented mass warm up to music and concluded with a 2012 Olympics theme in order to promote the Games and the future ambitions of the club.
“I was really proud of the hard work from the coaches and gymnasts involved,” said Sophie Barnard, one of the coaches.

The afternoon was a huge success and the club are already planning this year's events. “This is the last display that I shall organise, so it's a sad moment for me, but I'm sure it will continue under new direction,” said club coach Brenda Welsh-Smith.
The club wished all gymnasts and their families an exciting new year and thanked the gymnasts for their efforts over 2008. Thanks also went to the parents for their continued support and to all the coaches for their hard work.
