Chicks and ducklings will enliven Pensthorpe Natural Park next month as the beauty spot gets ready for its Easter ‘Eggstravaganza’.

The 700-acre reserve, near Fakenham, will host seasonal craft-making activities and an Easter-themed trail from Saturday, April 6 to Monday, April 22.

Visitors can enjoy the sight of ducklings waddling obediently behind their mothers, carpets of spring flowers in bloom and the start of spring bird migration.

There will also be daily red squirrel talks, hands-on pond dipping tutorials and nest-box sessions designed to spark a ‘lightbulb moment’ of appreciation for the natural world in children and young families.

There will also be a daily hunt for a ‘golden egg’ - the finer winning a day pass to the reserve.

And children can enjoy the reserve’s eco-play areas WildRootz and Hootz House which include dens, tunnels, streams, towers, slides and zip wires. For more information, visit pensthorpe.com.
