A Norfolk man is to host a switch-on event for his village - and his house will be transformed by 9000 lights.

James Brierley, from Little Snoring, near Fakenham, has announced he is hosting a Christmas light-up event at his home at number seven The Croft raising money for East Anglian Air Ambulance.

A total of 800 metres of lights will go up around his home, along with more in a wooden tree and in spots around the garden - turning on around 9000 lights.

Mr Kenyon would light up his home for the village, and Mr Brierley has fond memories of decorating the house with him and his brother.

“He was a keen supporter of the air ambulance, with donations for them, so I felt this would be the best way to honour him,” he said.

“It is also something for our seven children, and all the others in the estate. I'm looking forward to hosting the switch-on.”

Espositos snack bar will be at the event on December 2 from 3pm, with the switch on taking place at 6pm.
