A woman who was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash near Fakenham has been released without charge. 

The woman, aged in her 30s, was initially arrested following a single-vehicle collision at around 10.45am on Monday, November 7. 

It happened on the A1067 at Pensthorpe. 

Emergency services including paramedics and fire crews from Fakenham and Dereham were sent to the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the woman from her vehicle. 

She was subsequently arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving, before being taken to hospital for treatment. 

But now, a spokesman for Norfolk police has confirmed the woman was later released without charge.
